We are happy to share with you details about Kerala Club's participation in this weekend's "Sevathon" at Baylands Park in Sunnyvale. Kerala Club's vision includes being a philanthropic organization. We are partnering with the India Community Center at "Sevathon 2011" to raise funds for JEENA, an organization that supports families of children with special needs. All the proceeds from our effort at this year's Sevathon goes directly to JEENA.

What is Sevathon?
Sevathon is designed as a huge "MELA" (community fair) where all in the community can come together and have a great fun time! There will be varieties of food, arts and crafts, cultural program, and then a ton of exciting activities for the kids including kite flying, face painting, henna etc. etc. Best of all, it is all FREE!Starting at 9:30, there will be 3 hours of non-stop cultural programs that include dances from all over India, including Kerala's own Mohiniattam and Thiruvathira Kali, as well as Bharathanatyam, put on by artists from the local Malayalee Community! Please do come, and support our artists at this mega event!ROCK ON. WALK ON. SEVATHON!(JULY 17, 2011 starting at 7 AM @ Balylands Park, Sunnyvale.)
Sevathon is also a wonderful way to raise some funds for various non-profits in the Bay Area and beyond!
We are looking forward to be walking/running with you this Sunday (July 17, 2011) at Baylands Park in Sunnyvale. Directions, parking information and all other details about this event can be found at http://www.indiacc.org/sevathon/Over 2000 runners and walkers are expected to participate in this year's Sevathon run/walk to benefit their non-profit of choice. Registering to run/walk costs $25 or $40 depending on the length of the route.We sincerely hope you will join "Team Kerala" and run/walk with us. Thomas Theakanath will be leading "Team Kerala" in the 10K race. Several of us will be walking the 5K route. We have women's and men's groups, so do join in! Kids are also welcome to participate!
