Friends, so many of you had come forward and shared your appreciation when we organized the last charity event (serving dinner at the family supportive services.) You also showed a lot of interest in participating in future activities to help those in need. Here is our next major event - "KCCA @ Sevathon!" - where all of us can come together and help raise funds for a worthy organization - JEENA!Please join Kerala Club California in supporting Jeena (http://jeena.org/), the self-help group of parents dedicated to improving the quality of life of parents and children with developmental disorders. It is also the first not-for-profit, volunteer-based, organization focused on the specific cultural needs of families from South-East Asia, here in the Bay Area.

Kerala Club California to participate in the ICC Sevathon on July 17, 2011

We are happy to share with you information about our participation in the upcoming Sevathon organized by the India Community Center on Sunday, July 17 2011 at the Baylands Park in Sunnyvale. We are ironing out the details now, and once all paperwork is completed, more details will be shared on this site as well as on our Facebook page. Kerala Club was formed with the vision of being a charitable organization, and our participation in this Sevathon is just that. We strongly believe in lending a helping hand to those in need, so we realized teaming up with ICC at their Sevathon 2011 is the perfect way to raise funds for a very needy organization. "Jeena" has been chosen to be the organization receiving all the funds raised by Kerala Club California during this Sevathon. Founded in April 2000, Jeena is the first not-for-profit, volunteer-based, organization focused on the specific cultural needs of families from South-East Asia, here in the Bay Area, CA. Read more about Jeena here. and please support them. Sevathon 2011 – The Event This is a unique event bringing community organizations, walkers/runners, cultural teams & members of the community together. Date & Time: July 17th 2011; 7:30am to 1:00pm. Location: Baylands Park, Sunnyvale CA. (Park Info.) Sevathon 2011 will have two parts: Half Marathon / 5K / 10K Walkathon – A common website where the Partners can direct their teams / runners to register. Registration is $25 per runner/walker before the event and $35 on the day of. Details in the financial section below. A free cultural show put on by the Bay Area Indian Community & there is no registration. In addition, lots of exciting activities have been planned for guests of all ages to make this a vibrant and fun filled family event.
